Terms & Conditions – First Aid Suffolk

First Aid Suffolk operates under the following Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy conditions. Please read them carefully. It is your responsibility to understand them. We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time, and without prior notice.

By using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of use. The information on this website is provided for general information purposes only and is subject to change without notice. These Terms and Conditions should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

The term “us” or “we” refers to Elizabeth Russell, ProTrainings affiliated First Aid Instructor/ Assessor, trading as First Aid Suffolk, the owner of this website.

The term “you” refers to the user, customer, or viewer of this website.

Use of this Website

We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of the information provided on this website. Use of this information is at your own risk and it is your responsibility to ensure that the products meet your specific requirements.

Course Bookings

Fitness to Attend TrainingTraining courses may include practical exercises, such as CPR, recovery position, manual handling, and other physical activities. It is your responsibility – as the person attending the training – to inform the instructor of:
• Any medical conditions
• Any medications being taken
• Pregnancy or other factors that may affect your ability to participate.

First Aid Suffolk is not liable for injuries incurred during training. Injuries or incidents must be reported to the instructor on the day and recorded in the accident book.

When you book onto a course or arrange a group course with us, your booking will act as confirmation that you accept these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Cancellation Policy.

Photo Identification

It is the responsibility of all participants to present photo identification at the start of the course. This is a requirement whether the participant is attending a First Aid Suffolk course as an individual, or as part of a group booking.

Failure to do so will result in :

  • the participant being refused attendance
  • the loss of the course fee.

Upon booking confirmation (verbal or written), First Aid Suffolk will issue an invoice. Failure to settle invoices by the due date may result in late payment fees and legal action.

Group Bookings

Group bookings, whether at your site or a venue selected by First Aid Suffolk, require full payment of invoices at least one week in advance of the course start date. Non-payment may lead to legal proceedings.

Changes to group booking dates must be requested in writing as soon as possible. Requests made within 14 days of the course date will forfeit the deposit, and changes made less than 7 days before the course will forfeit the full fee.

Course dates can only be transferred once, and the new course must occur within 4 weeks of the original booking.

Payments

All training fees are due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

Payment is to be made by bank transfer.

Refunds will only be issued if cancellations are made at least 48 hours in advance.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations of training must be made in writing. Cancellations within 48 hours of the course start date will incur a 25% cancellation fee.

For onsite training, payments must be made at least one week in advance.

Training Guidelines

Substitutions of attendees must be confirmed in writing, and at least one week before the course.

Late arrivals (more than 30 minutes after the start time) will be refused entry, and fees will not be refunded.

Certification & Assessments

Certificates will only be issued upon successful completion of assessments and full payment of fees.

Replacement certificates are available for a fee of £10.

Certificates remain the property of First Aid Suffolk until all fees are paid in full.

Please note: Without course certification, individuals and companies do not meet Health & Safety Executive, Regulated Qualifications Framework or other requirements for first aid in the workplace.

Failure to Pay

Failure to pay invoices will result in:
• Legal action to recover costs
• An administrative fee of £25
• An 8% interest charge, plus the bank base rate for each month or part thereof from the invoice date.

Course Cancellations by First Aid Suffolk

In rare cases, we may need to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will make every effort to offer an alternative date. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
