About our first aid courses & tailored first aid training for groups

First aid courses come in all shapes and sizes. They can concentrate on delivering the skills to deal with emergencies or provide a more in-depth grounding, understanding and skills.

If you are in a specific line of business or volunteering community, such as those which involve caring for children, infants and young people or outdoor environments such as forestry, there are nationally recognised dedicated courses available.

If you are an activity group (eg. watersports groups, flying clubs, running clubs etc.), First Aid Suffolk can also usually tailor courses to suit your needs.

Our groups courses are generally for 6-12 participants
We currently offer a range of first aid course for the workplace and care-givers supporting infants, children and young people.

Your first aid trainer-assessor is fully qualified and affiliated to ProTrainings, with 30 years’ experience in first aid course training and delivery in Suffolk.

Where can the group course take place?

First Aid Suffolk is based in Felixstowe and we have identified a number suitable course venues local to the Ipswich, North Essex and East Suffolk area. We can also deliver your first aid training course at your premises, providing the designated room meets certain criteria to ensure the safe and effective running of the course.

Venue requirements :

enough space to accommodate anticipated number of participants comfortably, to include adequate space for practical tasks/ activities
suitable floor covering for undertaking those practical skills/ course tasks
wifi coverage
digital equipment provision (large TV / projector) to facilitate presentations

When are group courses available?

We will always do our best to ensure that courses are held at times/ places convenient to you and your team, workforce or volunteers. If your group numbers less that 6 persons, then joining one of our pre-programmed courses is usually the most cost effective option. These have fixed dates, times and locations.

As the courses are 100% ‘classroom’ based, it is important to be mindful of other things going on in / around your venue if you are looking to hold the course there.

What’s the cost of a group first aid course?

Our pre-programmed courses have published per participant fees – please see our courses schedule/ online booking system. We may be able to offer discounted rates in certain circumstances eg. for charities or if the training can be held at your Suffolk or North Essex premises.
