First Aid Suffolk Courses Overview

First Aid Suffolk provides nationally recognised first aid training at work for businesses and their workers, and first aid courses for professional and personal care-givers in East Suffolk. We also offer first aid instruction to individuals via group sessions and train groups from clubs and organisations wishing to support their membership or events responsibly with an officially qualified first aider.

Our cost-effective courses are run with a maximum of 12 participants. Training can take place either in selected venues mainly around Felixstowe or Ipswich in Suffolk. We also offer on-site group first aid courses at your the workplace, where appropriate meeting facilities are available.

First Aid in the Workplace – Supporting Compliance

Provision of on-site first aid cover in the workplace is a legal and moral obligation for most organisations. We appreciate that you will want to deal with it in an effective and timely manner, with maximum benefit and least disruption to your business. First Aid Suffolk provides a convenient, reliable and local service. Our courses can generally be held in your workplace, saving your business time and money.

Caring for you workforce by complying with Health & Safety Regulations is a vital part of your business which cannot be ignored, but sharing best practice and leading by example can also build effective and responsible teams.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Emergency first aid provision makes the workplace a safer place. It also provides reassurance and confidence to both staff and customers alike.

  • 1 day (6-7 hour) classroom-based course – or two mornings/afternoons if preferred.
  • Successful completion is rewarded with a certificate.
  • Employees must be 18 or over to participate.

A comprehensive first aid course for everyone. The training goes into more depth and covers more illnesses/ conditions than the Emergency First Aid at Work course.

  • Suitable for businesses, sports groups, community groups, venues.
  • 3 day (18-21 hour) classroom-based course.
  • Successful completion is rewarded with a certificate.
  • Employees must be 18 or over to participate.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA)

Having emergency first aid skills at your fingertips is of paramount importance around children or young people. Caring for youngsters or infants may be your profession. You may support children in schools or through leisure activities. As a volunteer, you may have children in your care within clubs, your church, at events or community activities. With an EPFA, you will gain confidence, support your own wellbeing and deliver reassurance to the parents or guardians of those in your care.

  • 1 day (6-7 hour) classroom-based course – or two mornings/afternoons if preferred.
  • Successful completion is rewarded with a certificate.
  • Employees must be 18 or over to participate.

A comprehensive paediatric first aid course delivering more in depth understanding than the Emergency Paediatric First Aid course.

  • Suitable for professional carers or anyone supporting children, infants or young people in sports, school, activities, events or community group environments.
  • 2 day (12-13 hour) classroom-based course .
  • Successful completion is rewarded with a certificate.
  • Employees must be 18 or over to participate
